The read

A north-west-facing bowl on a west through north.

Is it my level

CP plus ten hours, local flights only.

Launch

Set up in the first field through the pedestrian gate, and go no further into the farmland on foot.

Landing

Slope land in the bowl or on the ridge, or bottom land in the green strip between the two cropped fields. No suitable hang-glider top landing.

Getting there

Park on the South Downs Way or the Butser Hill car park, not by the gate.

The catch

The tree bank between bowl and ridge gets tricky in strong wind, with high-voltage power lines and pylons at the west end of the ridge.
