The read

A west through north-west face. Top and front-face landings get dangerous when it is busy in fine weather.

Is it my level

CP rated, local flights only, within easy glide of the official landing field.

Launch

A good solid run straight down the slope from the rigging area and over the fence; reach it through the trees and gate from the car park.

Landing

Bottom fields B1 (slopes up) and B2 (falls away west), with a paraglider-only escape area. Top landing for experienced pilots only.

Getting there

Official car park with number-plate cameras; the approach is a clearway, so keep moving.

The catch

Turbulence off Rake Bottom can be extreme in any conditions. Watch for walkers, model and kite fliers, and horse riders hidden from view.

Getting there

Just off the A3 next to Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield
