Open-Meteo
A narrow northerly, from 350 round to 020, in a shallow bowl.
A paraglider site; hang gliders need a site induction or an experienced companion.
Two setups either side of the central wooded copse, chosen by the wind.
Top landing is clean for paragliders, but mind the rabbit burrows and steel posts. Bottom landing may mean a walk out, with no vehicle access.
Capped at 1,500ft inside the Cheesefoot Head Box, and 2,000ft under the Solent CTA.
On the A272 between Winchester and West Meon; park at Cheesefoot Head, leave nothing of value in the car.
Strong winds turn it rough with very little get-out downwind. Steel posts sit near launch and the top landing.
