Open-Meteo
A SE through SSW site, with a takeoff each side of the old quarry. Smooth air is rare and it holds maybe four gliders at once.
Pilot rated and genuinely confident with slope landings. Not a hang-glider site.
Follow the footpath up behind the church from East Meon village.
Slope land either side of the quarry, the east side safer. No safe bottom landing: the playing field is the best bet with height, the cricket field on a good glide.
Park at the playing fields on Workhouse Lane and walk the footpath behind the church. Postcode GU32 1PF.
Large trees on the quarry's west side, downwind pressure where the wind hits the quarry nose, and horses and power lines below.
