Wants WNW through N. Watch the coast and the clock, not just the gradient: the sea breeze can arrive fast and turn the air severely, abruptly turbulent.
CP+, and to fly unsupervised you must have your top and slope landing tasks signed off. High-voltage power lines cross roughly halfway to Truleigh, so know your glide before you leave the ridge.
Half a mile of NW ridge into a north bowl, with a north-east spur. The paddock is hang-glider only, no paraglider inflation on or below the footpath.
Paragliders may top land anywhere except the hang glider paddock. Use caution in N to NNE winds, as rotor off the upwind ridges and the modeller's bowl can affect the whole top landing area, especially the rear of the hill.
Steps from 4,500ft over the north side to 5,500ft to the south.
NT pay-and-display; the pub refunds parking on spends over £10. Postcode BN1 8YL.
A NNE means wind shadow and severe rotor on takeoff. Power lines cross the ridge about halfway to Truleigh.
