Snowdonia & North Wales
Tremadog
This is a rocky cliff with a restricted, and rather tricky, take-off area. Once airborne the cliff provides good dynamic soaring as well as being well thermic considering its proximity to the sea. If the wind is off to the south it can get pretty turbulent. While XC potential is good, the terrain downwind is distinctly mountainous.
